Heart Core Studio has changed the way I workout, and view fitness. Being a typical 'guy' I have been working out with free weights since my teenage years, and under 5 mile runs. In general doing heavy weights and high impact running as my focus. In this 20+ year time rarely attending any group classes. I was plateau'ed, and it was difficult to get energized and jazzed about hitting the gym to do the same ole same ole. Always considered myself to be in good shape, but over time one favors your strengths and routines get, well routine. My flexibility decreased in proportion to my workouts and strength as well. But I looked good.
With Heart Core I have been attending Spin/TRX, TRX, kettlebell, and Cross Training style muscle confusion classes. I can feel my core strength and functional strength has made huge leaps. A traditional free weight regimen left my core weaker than I realized, and my body inflexible. It's a lot of fun in a group class setting with the personal coaching touch at Heart Core, and you push yourself much farther with others in the classes. The nature of the workouts requires an ego check for a 'guy' lifting background! Anyone can join and workout as well, this is not just for advanced types. I can see that at age 41, I have more flexibility, core strength, and feel better after 2 months of Heart Core workouts than in years, maybe ever!
