The Pilates Reformer and Tower sessions uses the machine to incorporate the Pilates exercise technique for a challenging and intense workout. Springs, leverage and body weight are used as resistance while performing movements targeting specific muscle groups. Workouts consist of controlled, balance, core, and mobility movements working your muscles through a full range of motion. The reformer and tower adds increased resistance to the movement. The reformer consists of a gliding carriage, a set of cable straps, a foot bar and a set of springs to adjust the resistance. The Tower consists of the trapeze bar, the push through bar, and different levels of springs to build with you as you gain strength and flexibility through out the body. The apparatuses facilitates over 200 exercises for every muscle group. Reformer and Tower exercises are performed in the supine, prone, seated and standing positions. The gliding carriage is the reformer's distinguishing feature. Spring resistance is increased or decreased as the carriage moves forward and back. This spring-like motion simulates numerous functional and athletic movements. Each workout is designed for the individuals and their fitness goals.
